Call for Artists
On 8 March, we have been celebrating International Women’s Day for over a hundred years, when people take to the streets to remind the world of hard-won women’s rights. But the feminist movement has evolved over the years to include in its struggles other groups oppressed, exploited and persecuted by the patriarchal, heteronormative and capitalist structures of society. Today, on 8 March, we stand on the streets under the queer feminist flag and try to draw attention to the issues, problems as well as the situation of marginalised FLINTA* people who experience intersectional discrimination and show our solidarity with them.
In order to make the queer-feminist diversity of current issues, debates, perspectives as well as demands and struggles visible to the broad spectrum of society, we call upon FLINTA* – artists and non-artists for an international political interaction to take place around the 8th of March 2021 in public spaces worldwide. For the March 8 Guerrilla Action we have chosen poster art as our medium. We want to make your demands visible. We encourage and invite you to send us your graphics, drawings, collages, slogans or poems. You are welcome to complete one or more of the following sentences that we have prepared as a template:

Not only on 8 March do I/we demand …,
Not only on 8 March do I/we fight for …,
Not only on 8 March do I/we denounce …,
Not only on 8 March do I/we wish for …

We will try to collect all your works in digital form and send them back as an exhibition collection to you and other groups who are interested in a poster action, so that you can print the pictures on your own and hang them up on your streets until 8 March.
